So Good!

The Sugar Plum Truffles are absolutely wonderful! So rich, very satisfying, a truly special offering. I have given them as gifts and served them at elegant receptions following concerts and recitals. Thank you for such a delicious and delightful treat. Everyone who receives them feels they are receiving something extraordinary, and they are! My granddaughter takes ballet and I got her these this Christmas following her performances as The Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker! It is now a tradition in our family, to her delight.

Sugar Plum Truffles

I bought these truffles on sale after Christmas, and they are nice enough, but they are not nearly as unique as the actual Sugar Plums that Bissinger's used to make. Those were confections made with a center of ground fruit and nuts dipped in dark chocolate. This newer Sugar Plum candy has a ganache filling flavored with fruit, but the earlier version was much more unique and interesting. Would love to see those again next Christmas!

Sugar Plum Truffles

I’m not sure how your star rating works, by subtraction? Anyway I give these a 5 star top rating. They are delicious. I’ve never had these before but the flavor is great. I wouldn’t quite call them truffles in the traditional sense, at least as I understand it, but that’s a quibble and doesn’t alter my opinion. I would definitely order them again. As usual the shipping went smoothly.

Visions of sugar plums

While these aren't sugar plums (check Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, MI), they are surely sugar-plumy in the center..very creamy. And the outer chocolate, as always, is the best. These are our favorite truffles!
